Ultimate Zipline Experience
Enjoy a 20 minute ride from the Adventure Center located in Kapalua to our Mountain Outpost located 1400 feet above sea level. After a quick safety introduction and equipment fitting / explanation do's and don'ts, you'll launch into the full mountain course encompassing 9 ziplines! 2 of which go up hill, 3,000 linear feet and 500 feet in elevation gain. The cross and downhill lines run nearly 2 miles and drop almost 900 feet in elevation. Each downhill span runs with parallel lines allowing guests to ride side by side, no other zipline in Hawaii offers this exciting feature! All of this translates into one of the longest and largest systems on earth! The adventure begins in the thick of the West Maui mountains. The lines are separated by short treks through this lush landscape where your guides can reveal native and endemic species of flora. At the mid point of your adventure we'll stop for a scrumptious picnic lunch and "talk story" then continue our excursion / adventure along the remaining lines past a waterfall and over a bamboo forest.
Health Recommendations and Physical Requirements: Age: 10 years and older Weight: 60- 250 lbs. Guests should be prepared for some light physical activity. Tours include climbing stairs and walking short distance over uneven terrain. Must be able to lift 15 lbs. Tours are not recommended for anyone who may have a heart condition, neck/back issues or other medical concerns. Not recommended for pregnant women. There is no smoking, alcohol, or drug use permitted at anytime prior to, or throughout, the tour. Kapalua Adventures is not obligated to complete a tour if participants are found to be endangering the safety of themselves, others or the environment. Refunds will not be given in these situations. What To Wear and Bring Kapalua Adventures provides all the equipment needed to participate in the tours including custom designed harnesses and climbing helmets. Required - Closed toe hiking or athletic type footwear - No crocs allowed. Be advised that the weather can change quickly so layering clothing is often a good idea. Remove hanging or dangling jewelry and rings before attempting the climbing tower. There is no storage facility at the Mountain Outpost so please do not bring bags, back packs, large hip packs. All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.
